OU Physicians Reproductive Medicine Coronavirus Update

UPDATE: April 1, 2020 -- Here at OU Physicians Reproductive Medicine, we know that the last few weeks have been challenging as we all begin to understand the far reaching impact that COVID-19 has and we will continue to encounter a different set of challenges as we adjust to how we go about our daily lives while helping your achieve your dream of building a family. We are committed to that dream and committed to doing our part to stop the spread of COVID-19 by taking specific precautions during your visit to our fertility center:

  • We are encouraging new, hopeful parents seeking consultations to consider our multiple telemedicine options;
  • We are engaged in social distancing by limiting the number of on-site guests to patients who are actively in-cycle;
  • We are ensuring that patient consults are staggered to minimize contact with other guests or patients during your visits;

OU Medicine Visitation Policy

  • All visitors to OU Medicine hospitals, OU Children's Physicians, and OU Physicians Clinic must check in upon arrival to the individual facility. Specific entrances will be designated for patients and visitors to enter.
  • Screening policies and procedures will be updated frequently and modified as needed by care setting.

Check-in entails the following questions:

  1. Have you traveled outside Oklahoma to a state or country with a high incidence of COVID-19 within the last 14 days?
  2. Have you had any of the following symptoms during the past 24 hours?
    • Fever ≥ 100° F
    • Cough
    • Shortness of Breath
    • Body Aches
  3. Have you been exposed to someone who is ill and traveled within the last 14 days?
  4. Have you had a known exposure to a person with suspected/confirmed COVID-19 (Coronavirus)?
